About the Author:

RITA AVILA holds a degree in BS Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of Sto. Tomas. She has pursued a career in acting which gained her awards and nominations here and abroad: Best Actress winner in Asian Television Awards, 1997, Singapore; Best Supporting Actress award and nominations in Golden Screen  wards, Famas and URIAN. She is wife to TV director FM Reyes and mother to Elia Jesu E. Reyes, their beloved threeweek-old-son, who is now an “angel.” Keeping her  ommitment to child care and cause, she is also a “mother” to Mimay, Popoy, Pony, and to many other children (in orphanages and many other “adopted” children) whom she supports and inspires. As a song writer, she has penned Hanggang Dito Na Lang in memory of her son, as well as Hanggang Huli. Three books have already been published under her name, all of which have been nominated at the Jaime Cardinal Sin Catholic Book Awards: 8 Ways to Comfort with Grace (2009), Si Erik Tutpik at Si Ana Taba (2013), and The Invisible Wings (2015). Both 8 Ways to Comfort with Grace and The Invisible Wings have also been published in Filipino as 8 Paraan ng Pakikidalamhati and Ang Hindi Nakikitang Pakpak. All were published by ST PAULS.
